Discover LOCAL FLOWERS

Bienvenidos! Welcome! At Florecita Farm, we believe in the quiet power of flowers—especially those grown close to home. Our blooms are not only beautiful, but also deeply rooted in sustainability. By growing flowers locally in the heart of Colorado’s high desert, we reduce the carbon footprint that comes with importing flowers internationally thousands of miles away.

Local flowers support local ecosystems. They nourish our native pollinators—bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects—that are essential to a healthy environment and food system. Because our flowers are growing seasonally and without harmful chemicals, they bloom in harmony with the land, conserving water and respecting the rhythm of nature. Flowers are freshly harvested from our farm directly to your home late June - October.

When you choose local flowers, you’re not just bringing beauty into your space—you’re supporting biodiversity, small-scale farming, and a more regenerative future.

Local blooms are delicate, fresh, and have characteristics unparalleled to imports. Maybe we’re just biased? Try them out for yourself!

Welcome to Florecita Farm

Florecita Farm is a small-scale flower farm rooted in the dry, sun-drenched soil of eastern Colorado Springs. We grow seasonal specialty blooms with care, intention, and a whole lot of heart.

Our farm is built on ecology-focused, regenerative practices. This means we work with nature, not against it. We grow without synthetic chemicals, we enrich our soil with compost & cover crops, and we focus on supporting the biodiversity of our local ecosystem. Farming this way isn’t always the easiest path, but it’s the most meaningful. It reflects our belief that beauty and responsibility to steward our land can —and should— grow side by side.

Florecita Farm is about more than just flowers. It’s about slowing down, honoring the land, and sharing something real and rooted with our community. From early spring snapdragons, to fancy summer zinnias, and autumn lisianthus, our flowers reflect the seasons, the soil, and soul we pour into our work. We offer farm fresh flowers for farmers markets, special events, weekly workplace deliveries, your home, & especially your abuelita! Un ramo alegre y unico de flores de temporada. Perfecto para dar vida a su hogar, a un altar, o pa’regalar!

Meet your farmer

Hi! I’m Sonia, your local flower farmer (AKA my moms Florecita) :) This is Oat, the best farm doggo. We’re the hands behind these beautiful blooms. A little about me - I’ve been farming for 4 years and I first fell into farming during COVID when I dropped out of college and did an apprenticeship on a local organic vegetable farm in my hometown of Wichita, KS. I had never grown a vegetable or flower myself and honestly I didn’t ever picture myself farming. I didn’t grow up with farmers, but flowers found me as a little girl in my tia’s garden in Jalisco, Mexico. In the lush tropical sierras, I remember her garden being full of dahlias, zinnias, roses, passionfruit, mango trees, black berries, and so many plants. Since we didn’t have gardens at home, one of the best parts about visiting Mexico would be seeing my Tia Alicia’s garden grow every year. I was enamored by the layers of life that surrounded her home. Working on my first farm brought me back to the feelings of her garden. Flowers found me again when I was starting to grow my own vegetable farm and I had heard on a podcast that part of your garden needs to be flowers to bring in the beneficial insects and pollinators. I grew some flowers from seed on a whim, zinnia’s, dahlias, calendula- and that was a wrap. Full send my obsession for flowers and thus the journey began. Flowers are storytellers, symbols, and offerings. Flowers have rooted me in patience, presence, and connection- to the land, my culture, and to those who welcome my blooms into their home. Welcome to my flower fiesta!
